Families are referred to The Drake House through referral partners in the community. Basic criteria for referrals include:

  • Documented homelessness
  • A family unit of a single mother with one or more minor children
  • Mother is over the age of 21
  • Ties to the North Fulton community
  • Drug and alcohol free
  • Employed or employable

Upon admission, families sign a resident contract and agree to adhere to family guidelines. They participate in an empowerment planning process and develop a goal plan. Weekly meetings are held with the family assessment manager, and the family attends weekly life skills classes.
